Thomas M. Hartman

  • Tom is Co-Founder and Principal of TPMP. He is also the Founder and Principal of Leader-Board Management, a strategy and management-consulting firm established in 1998. With over 15 years of executive management and consulting experience, his expertise is in new market initiatives, corporate development, strategic redirects, and turnarounds. Leader-Board serves a diverse client base ranging from early-stage technology ventures to public corporations. Telecommunications, Software, Medical Devices, Transportation, Consumer Products, Utilities, and Energy are a few of the sectors served.
  • Mr. Hartman is an acting Entrepreneur-In-Residence for Ventana Capital Management, one of Southern California’s oldest venture capital funds with diversified portfolio interest in information, innovative energy, and bio technologies. In 2001, Leader-Board Management worked on the successful financing of CardioNet, Inc., a pioneer in mobile outpatient cardiac telemetry software and services.
  • Before founding Leader-Board, Mr. Hartman held numerous line and executive management positions in Technology, Consumer Products, and Manufacturing. From 1994-1998 Mr. Hartman was COO of Disguise, Inc. during which time he was instrumental in doubling the companies value before successfully exiting via company sale to private equity investors.
  • Tom began his career as a computer process automation specialist with ALCOA and progress rapidly through numerous operating, sales, marketing, and corporate development roles. He left ALCOA after 10 years to join the Public Sector & Utilities consulting practice of Deloitte & Touche.
  • Mr. Hartman earned his MBA from The Wharton School and also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
